Cotton Candy Hues

Hey everyone! Today's #FashionFriday #OOTD has got to be perfect for Spring! It's bright, it's flowy, and not to mention it's totes chic!

I realized I haven't been wearing many bright colors lately, and most of the clothes I got over Spring break consisted of black and white, and more black, lol, so then came this outfit.
I am in love with this blouse because it's very casual, yet it has a flirty side (literally) When turned to the side it has a little cut out from high to low. I am also loving the peachy/coral/cotton candy toned colors hence the title Cotton Candy Hues. I just thought that this outfit sort of reminded me of Cotton Candy haha. As for bottoms, I am wearing some White pants with some cool, abstract patterns below the pockets. (Which also goes with the color scheme). I've been loving gold jewelry so I had to cooperate some of that into this outfit. I have on some gold and coral jewels that compliment the outfit. For the shoes, you have to match the belt to the shoe (for the most part) so I went with these super comfortable brown and white wedges.

For my hair I decided to put it into a bun since I've been frying my hair pretty much every single day, and we don't want even more split ends right? Leave a comment and like this post if you would like to see a tutorial on how I make this quick and easy bun if you're running late to school/work/wherever.

Neutrals & Pop of Color

Hello everyone! I know it's been two weeks since my last post, and I skipped Fashion Friday. ): Sorry about that, these past few weeks have been hectic in and out of school, but I promise that I will post more because I will be traveling down south for the weekend. That should mean more OOTD's, and maybe top hot spots! Anyways, I hope you all like this look, and I apologize again for the lack of posts.

---

Lately, I've been in love with wearing neutrals with a pop of color! The look is the perfect balance of dressy, yet casual. I really like this look because I, too, get lazy to entirely dress up, but still want to turn heads. For a even more laid-back look you can switch the skirt and go for an asymmetrical skort. (Asymmetrical skorts are one of my go-to's if you want to look "girly", but still want to feel fashionable and comfortable.)

I threw on this black and white striped blazer to give the outfit a more prepped up look. The blouse is simple, yet beautiful. I love the detailing at the top aligned with gold buttons. I paired the belt with a black belt to give myself more shape. I think mixing different textures and materials are very creative and beautiful. So, I used this lovely black and white floral purse for accessory along with a simple pearl bracelet and this gorgeous red and gold necklace.

Violet Harmon Inspired OOTD

Hello everyone! Sorry for the lag on posts, I've been extra busy these past few weeks with school.

Regardless of my hectic schedule, I really wanted to post this outfit of the day inspired by one of my all time favorite characters, Violet Harmon, from American Horror Story.

Violet has a very unique style and I decided to put a twist on her style by incorporating my vision of design into hers. Her style incorporates vintage with a bit of grunge twist, as well as classy, yet casual. Her clothing consists of a lot of layers, putting different patterns together, tights, and combat boots or converse.

Hat | H&M

Cardigan | H&M
Dress | Forever 21
Socks | American Apparel
Shoes | Urban Outfitters
This outfit was inspired from the Pilot episode of AHS where Violet wore a long Floral dress with a Burgundy Sweatshirt underneath and a mustard-yellow cardigan on top. She paired the ensemble with some black oxfords. To make my outfit more like Violet's, (yet still keeping my own touches) I wore a floral dress of my own, a burgundy cardigan, and paired it with some knee-high socks. To complete the look I of course had to top everything off with some oxfords and a fun black hat.

I love Violet's style (as well as most of the characters on each season of AHS) because it is very different, and she doesn't care about others' opinions. I will be posting an American Horror Story: Coven Lookbook soon, so stay in tune for more outfits and different styles! Which is your favorite character and season from American Horror Story?

Monochrome & Red Wine

Hey everyone! Finally, here is my first Outfit of the Day post of 2015! I know, I know, it's been a year and I'm sorry about that. Can't blame me for being lazy (aren't we all?) After all, I'm only human, and a girl's gotta have a life outside of the internet also! This was my first week back to school after a long, relaxing, and exhilarating winter break. [And I made it out alive haha] It was a long week, but I managed to throw in some ootd's on Instagram, (Link below), and had some great opportunities given to me, such as getting offered a job! Anyways, here are some pictures of today's look.

Coat: Forever 21
Sweater: Sister's Closet (Hi Abby lol)
White Blouse: Forever 21
Red Wine Skort: Forever 21
Tights: Present from Aunt
Purse: Kate Spade Christmas Present (Hi Auntie Jen)
Earrings: Lauren Conrad

I love how simplistic, yet classy this outfit looks. I used monochromatic colors (A big Winter trend according to Vogue), with a pop of color - the Red Wine Skort. To keep warm I stacked on layers from top to bottom, and wore my favorite Charcoal boots. I love to mix and match patterns and textures as well as colors to come out with a beautiful and unique ensemble.

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend. Have fun and stay safe. xoxo
